Make-A-Wish Golf Tournament

The tournament began in 2011 as a way for the MAAR Commercial Council to give back to our community. The Council decided to donate a significant portion of the proceeds from the tournament to Make-A-Wish® Mid-South.

The goal in the first year was to raise enough money to grant one child's wish. The average cost of a wish at that time was $5,000 but has now increased to more than $8,000. Through the hard work of the Golf Tournament Committee and the support of our sponsors, the Council was able to donate $17,000 to Make-A-Wish®, enough to grant three wishes.

Each year, our tournament has grown, setting new records and surpassing our previous achievements. The success of this event is a direct result of the generosity and commitment of sponsors like you. In 2025 alone, we raised $117,159, and over the life of the tournament, we have raised $1,045,000 to grant wishes that bring joy and hope to those who need it most.

Make-A-Wish® Mid-South grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. If you know of a child who is critically ill, please visit midsouth.wish.org.

2026 Tournament

The 16th Annual Commercial Council Make-A-Wish® Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 21, 2025, at Windyke Country Club. Registration and lunch begin at 11:15 a.m., and shotgun begins at 12:30 p.m. Awards will follow immediately after tournament play.
