The Youth Villages 5K attracts thousands of runners annually and, since 1982, has become a Memphis-area staple. This year, the YV5K is turning 41, making it the oldest and largest running event in our community!

Given such a milestone, we want to see a great turnout! Everyone is encouraged to come out to the race on November 11. In addition to the race itself and awards for the top finishers, participants can look forward to a post-race party featuring musical entertainment, refreshments and activities for kids.

The race was started by MAAR members and continues to be largely run by our members. As such, MAAR is proud to sponsor the YV5K for the 41^st year running. Proceeds from the race will support Youth Villages and go toward youths' transitional living, mentoring and spiritual life programs.

Registration Details & Race Schedule

Participants can register as individuals, join a team or start their own team! If you're unsure about gatherings or if you want to support the race from home, you can still register as a virtual or spirit runner.

Interested in attending but not running? Be a race day volunteer! Volunteers take part in every aspect of the race and are essential to a successful race day. Sponsorship opportunities are also available at multiple levels. No matter your preferences, there's an option for you.

If you register to run, you can pick up your race items—bib, t-shirt, etc.—in the Education Center between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, November 10. If you can't make it Friday, pick up your packet on Saturday morning before the race begins.

The full registration schedule, along with all fees, is detailed below. Register by Friday, June 30 to take advantage of early bird pricing and receive $5 off the registration fee.

* The 2023 YV5K will be held on Veteran's Day, and to show appreciation, Youth Villages is offering 10% off registration for all servicemen and women.
