The Diversity & Inclusion Committee Book Club has formed a book club to discuss real estate-related books with a special focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.

You're invited to join us for the second meeting of 2023. The club's first selection of 2023 is Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond, winner of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction¹. No worries if you missed the first meeting because with this meeting the discussion will begin in earnest.

The book is divided into three parts, bookended with a prologue and epilogue. The first meeting covered Prologue: Cold City, as well as introductions and a bit of background info about the book. At this meeting, the club will dive into Part One: Rent (pp. 9–110), discussing its contents and wider implications.
