Global Real Estate: Local Markets is a one-day CIPS course that introduces real estate professionals to the basic skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate international real estate transactions.
This introductory course offers an overview of the international real estate business environment, including capital flow, currencies, government regulations and cultures. Topics such as international brokerage, networking, marketing and selling will also be discussed.

- Monitor trends and indicators of the global economy, flow of capital, and the impact on local real estate markets
- Identify local market opportunities and prospects for global business in your local market
- Follow a standardized process for preparing for a transaction and working with clients and customers
- Develop a network of contacts that can lead to referral business
- Recognize available visa statuses for foreign real estate owners and investors and guide foreign clients and customers to seek expert advice
This is one of two core courses required to earn the CIPS designation and must be taken before any other CIPS courses. This course counts as an elective for the ABR® Designation and the CRS Designation.
