This newly designed 7-hour update course, copyrighted by The Appraisal Foundation, focuses on USPAP requirements for ethical behavior and competent performance by appraisers. There will be a review of agency, contracts, disclosures, TREC property management requirements and commercial/leasing terminology.
New case studies and tools are examined to help participants learn how to better navigate USPAP in order to solve problems in their daily appraisal practice. In addition, the topic of bias and appraisal practice will be covered using Advisory Opinion 16 showing how an appraiser can comply with USPAP as it relates to fair housing laws.
The course will aid participants in all areas of appraisal practice seeking competency in USPAP, including those subject to state licensing or certification and continuing education requirements imposed by professional organizations, client groups, or employers.
This course is designed to fulfill the requirements for licensed and certified appraisers who must complete a 7-hour USPAP Update Course every two years.
